I had done the work. The soil prepping, the perfect mound creating, the seed planting, the watering. The diligent check for weeds every day.


Imagine my joy when the the first little tender green leaves poked their little heads out of my perfect cucumber mounds. (Granted, one of plants was a little odd shaped but never mind that.)


Two days of growth made it very clear that one of my "plants" was actually a feisty little poop of a thistle weed that now had roots 5 inches long.


WOW, was I so completely fooled!


Much like this imposter, we don't see a diet or program for what it REALLY is until the roots are well established into our checking account and our desperate need to find something that will actually work.


Imposter diets and programs will:

  1. Press you to join now and ask questions later

  2. Give promises that sound ridiculously good

  3. Tell you what to eat and do instead of teaching you how to make your own decisions

  4. Tell you it's easy and that you don't have work that hard

  5. Not address the why behind overeating and food cravings

  6. Pressure you to do everything all at once and very little allowance for messing up

  7. Never allow for enjoying any food "off the plan"

  8. Push quick weight loss instead of lasting lifestyles changes that keep the weight off

  9. Offer no personalized plan for your unique circumstances

  10. Not allow for food allergies, food intolerance, and other challenging medical issues
